Nobody is perfect

Why do some people doesn't mind their own business? People that will always correct and tell you what to do. Feeling so perfect that in fact it's not. I really don't like those kind of people. When you commit a very small mistake, you will be corrected right away. It is like telling you, you are so stupid, why can't you do this and that. I guess some people are not happy if they don't see you suffer from something. I know some people who do that. People that tells you what to do. People that wants their will to be done over yours. It's hard to deal with those kind of people especially if you are living under the same roof. You tried so hard to avoid them so that you dont have conflicts anymore but sometimes they will make a way to see your mistakes and bite you again. I am just sick and tired of those people and the worst thing is you have to deal with them everyday. Have you been to a situation like this? How did you deal with it?

Kids Choice Award - Nick Kca

They may have only been up for one award on Saturday night (March 28) at the Kids' Choice Awards, but the night definitely belonged to the Jonas Brothers. A who's who of teen stars were on hand at the 22nd annual awards show, hosted by Dwayne Johnson.

The first award of the night, Favorite TV Show, was handed out by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson and went to "iCarly." "We wouldn't be up here without you guys," the show's star, Miranda Cosgrove, told the super-excited crowd. Tons of celebs made appearances throughout the night, like Favorite Male Singer winner Jesse McCartney, Will Ferrell, Sandra Bullock and Hugh Jackman, all of whom got slimed, a time-honored KCA tradition.

Although she wasn't there to claim her Blimp, Selena Gomez won Favorite TV Actress for her work on "Wizards of Waverly Place." Keeping the girl power alive were the Pussycat Dolls, who didn't win any Blimps but did perform "When I Grow Up" and their version of the "Slumdog Millionaire" anthem "Jai Ho."

Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Corbin Bleu and Ashley Tisdale were there to accept the Favorite Movie award for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year." Hudgens also took home a Blimp for Favorite Movie Actress. "A quick shout-out to Lucas [Grabeel] and Monique [Coleman]. We love you guys," Efron said to his missing castmates while accepting the award. "Thank you all for embracing 'HSM.' We love you guys."

It was cute-boy overload as Efron presented the award for Favorite Music Group to the Jonas Brothers. "Thank you guys so much," Joe said, before Nick added, "It's been amazing. We've enjoyed the ride thoroughly." More swooning ensued when "Gossip Girl" heartthrob Chace Crawford announced the JoBros' performance. They rocked the crowd and made girls scream when they performed "S.O.S." and "Burnin' Up."

There was also love for "Twilight," which won for Favorite Book. "This is awesome," Taylor Lautner told the crowd. "Stephenie Meyer wanted to tell you guys 'thank you.' And I can tell you firsthand you guys are gonna love [the 'New Moon' movie]."

Leonardo DiCaprio won the most serious award of the night, taking home the Big Green Help Blimp for inspiring people to be more proactive in saving the environment. And although Miley Cyrus was up for a slew of awards, she only managed to win one for Favorite Female Singer. While hugging her Blimp and fighting back tears, she said, "I really thought I was going to lose."

The night came to an end with Johnson fulfilling his assigned task of finding the right key to make the volcanic slime pyramid explode. What was that key? The Jonas Brothers singing "Lovebug." Other big winners of the night included "American Idol" for Favorite Reality Show, Will Smith for Favorite Movie Actor and past KCA host Jack Black for Favorite Voice in an Animated Movie.

Clearing

Before when you remove some stuff from one end to another end, you do it by hands. But today, there are so many services that exist when it comes to removing something somewhere around your house, in the office, factory, shop and more. They call it Hauling. A service that will haul away from residential homes, large storage facilities, bank owned properties, or anywhere else. Stuff will be remove from inside/outside, or any level of the building. Equipped with large dump trucks, bobcats, and excavator. There are ways to do hauling. First is Junk Removal. This process is removing the big furniture and stuff on the area you wish to clear out. This is simply the first step to clean an area on a specific place. The next one is Junk Hauling. This process is simply hauling the junk stuff on a particular building that needs to be clear. Was it a huge relief that a certain service like hauling exist nowadays. It is very helpful and a great way to do the work a lot more faster than doing it manually and not totally equipped with the necessary tools to use to perform the task. So if you need some removing to do, you know who to call right away.

All in one Media Search Engine

I love watching movies and listening to the music. It is my passion since I was still a kid. I could hardly see myself exist with them. Movies are so fascinating. It makes me imagine things the way I watched in a particular movie. Every movie I watch I can relate to it. With music I listen to it everyday. My mother once told me that when I was still a kid, I can't sleep without music and until now I can't live without it. I use to check the latest movies and latest music everyday. I even joined a music review website just to get updated. I find it amazing because I have the full access to all music reviews such as Pop Music Reviews, Country Music Review, Alternative Music Reviews, Rock Music Reviews, Love Music Review and many more. It is another way of recreation where I can share my thoughts and opinion on a particular music or movie. What I love about it is it gives you the idea on the most recent movies and the most recent music in the world wide web along with the reviews of some other member who has listened and watched a certain movie or music already. It gives you the knowledge of an insight towards the thing you wanted to learn. Example, I wanted to watch a particular movie or listen to a particular song, through the ratings and feedback of others, it gives me an idea on how good the movie is or how good the music is even though I haven't watch it or listen to it yet.

2009 NFL schedules

NFL owners are formulating a strategy to begin negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement with the players' union, but commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday he expects a new deal will be in place before next March, when the salary cap is set to expire.

"I don't believe that will be the case," Goodell said when asked about the possibilities in an uncapped season in 2010. Owners opted out of the current CBA last year, which will trigger the end of the salary cap if no new deal is reached before next March.

Owners' priorities in the negotiations will include having the costs for building and operating stadiums recognized by the players and instituting a salary cap for rookies, Goodell said in a news conference at the NFL's annual meeting in Dana Point, Calif.

There is no timetable yet for when negotiations on a new CBA will begin. Goodell met with new NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith Friday for the first time.

The economy is hurting the league's revenue streams, and Goodell said the ramifications will have an effect on the negotiations. Money from sponsorships and licensing is down, and the league is concerned about the possibility for reduced ticket sales in 2009. Read more,,

Mobile Blogging

I wasn't aware that you can do blogging on your mobile too until I came across blogger's help section. Yes you can do blogging in your mobile, how does it work here's the details.

You send a message - which can be a photo, some text, or both - to go@blogger.com. We take care of the rest. In other words, we auto-provision a new blog and publish the post. It's that simple.

Here's how to start a mobile blog:

  1. 1. Send an MMS to go@blogger.com to create your mobile blog. The text and/or photo in your MMS will be uploaded to that blog right away. We'll message you back with the address, (so you can visit your new blog on the web) and a token (so you can claim your blog and access it from your account).
  2. 2. OPTIONAL - If you feel like changing anything on your new mobile blog or if you already have a Blogger account and want the posts to go to your existing blog, you can log in to go.blogger.com and enter the token we sent to your phone. You'll then have the option to claim your new mobile blog and merge it with your existing blog. Note to users whose blog address does not contain blogspot.com: Once you make the aforementioned switch, new mobile posts will be published to your chosen blog but mobile posts published prior to the switch will not be moved over automatically.

What types of messages can I send to Blogger Mobile from my phone?

MMS or Email - note this doesn't include email sent from a mobile device that actually passes through a webmail gateway (such as mail sent from your stanford.edu account from your phone).

What size photos can I send?

Photos are currently limited to 250K each. If they exceed that size, you'll receive a bounce message letting you know so you can try again with a smaller picture. Note that your phone (or carrier) might have size limits of its own.

Is there a cost for using Blogger Mobile?

Mobile providers' standard rates for sending and receiving text and photo messages apply. Blogger won't charge you for any of its services.

Requirements

Text messaging-enabled mobile device with a text messaging plan. This service is free from Google but charges from your carrier for usage may apply.

Battlestar bids farewell

Being a huge fan of Sci Fi channel, Battlestar Galactica is one of my favorite show but it bid goodbye to everyone. I will miss watching it and hopefully Sci Fi channel will produce this kind of series again.

One of the best science-fiction series ever put on television closes out Friday, March 20, as Battlestar Galactica ends its four-season run with a two-hour finale. In a galaxy somewhere south of it, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, an animated series on the Cartoon Network, ends its first season on a ratings roll.

So the question is: Are we ever going to see something in the middle of these two series? BSG (as its fans call it) was able to capture viewers who didn’t identify themselves as lovers of sci-fi. And the George Lucas project Star Wars: The Clone Wars has drawn both kids and adults. But with one idle and the other departing for good there’s no science fiction on broadcast television right now worth watching. A glimmer of hope surrounded Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, but the series is larded with conceptual failure and bad acting. Its counterpart on Fox’s schedule, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, was once viewed as can’t-miss material but has since faded badly in the ratings. Either the two shows will be the combined beneficiary of Fox’s largesse or they’ll go down the drain together.

There are plenty of other series amalgamated into the sci-fi genre even though — aside from the long-running Doctor Who — most are not what mainstream viewers would call “science fiction” and none is making much noise in the ratings.

More importantly, none of them are making a critical impact like Battlestar Galactica, a superb drama that bears almost no resemblance to the cheesy late ’70s series of the same name. Ronald D. Moore “reimagined” the series in 2004 for the Sci-Fi channel and slowly the word spread to the mainstream that something special was happening on this genre show.

Indeed it was.

The series managed to be a thrilling, dense and evocative home for stories about existentialism, race, religion, war, friendship, the search for identity, family, politics, tribalism and, sure enough, science fiction. The writing, acting and visuals on BSG elevated it to the stratosphere of creative television — a series worthy of top 10 lists that encompassed network, ad-supported and pay cable. (The good news for people who haven’t seen one frame of it is now you can start renting or buying the DVDs and working toward the finale that has so many die-hards anticipating tonight’s end game.) An executive at another ad-supported cable channel once wisely said if BSG had another million dollars to spend on each episode it wouldn’t be any good. What he meant was that tight budgets forced the writers to shy away from stereotypical space battles and bluster, focusing more closely on the storytelling. That’s why BSG managed to cross over and appeal to mainstream TV audiences. The series deftly balanced the kind of mythology that fuels sci-fi enthusiasts with dramatic arcs that enthralled fans of more terrestrial fare. As soon as viewers found out that the bulk of the stories surrounded a phalanx of nuanced characters, they bought in.

Because BSG elevated science fiction to high art you’d think TV executives would be searching for something similar to it. Despite the acclaim BSG garnered, there’s a fear of trying to do something too dark or moody, traits that drew critics to the series in the first place. And while cops, doctors and lawyers are dominating the current pilot process, some networks are giving sci-fi a longer look. ABC is remaking V about an alien invasion (based on a miniseries from the ’80s) and Flash Forward, based on a science-fiction book by Robert J. Sawyer — but written for the small screen by Brannon Braga (the latter-era Star Trek series) and David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, the story for The Dark Knight). Fox is making Human Target, based on the DC Comics character who assumes the identity of those he’s trying to protect. And NBC is developing Day One, a futuristic series that picks up after a global disaster.

But on the small screen, sci-fi breakthroughs are rare. It could be that V or Flash Forward or Human Target ignore special effects and fantastical gibberish and really focus on the narrative, the character development, the writing, acting, directing and the sustaining of an original vision from season to season. That’s how you achieve greatness. But even most non-genre series come to realize brilliance is a fantasy they can’t attain. Which makes Battlestar Galactica all the more stellar in comparison.

Accessibility and Availability everywhere

This will be the second part of my post about 1 800 Vending. I talked about this on my previous post about how well the machine is and how much profit you can gain if you wind up trying this kind of business. Vending machines are everywhere. It is very accessible, very easy to find and the nice thing about is you don't have to stand in line just to get you something to drink. It only requires some pennies and your good to go. They have evolved nowadays and the latest is the 1800Vending Twitter Profile1800Vending LinkedIn Profile, where you can create a profile and could linked to somebody. It is more like of a community that talks about 1800 vending as the top of the line vending machines that offer both snacks and soda. That means all the products the consumer wants will be available through one machine. Amazing! With this evolution, they are more open to everyone and more accessible wherever you may be. I personally experience it's availability everywhere. My husband drinks a lot and when we are on our vacation we never encounter such problem when it comes to our sodas because we can get it anywhere with vending machine. There's no hassle and we enjoyed out vacation without being thirsty.

Page Rank is back

I was so surprised this morning because as I wen to my blog, my page rank is back. I have been working on this to get it back now it's back, I am just so happy that it's back and I will make it sure, I will maintain this and improve more. I told my husband about this and he was happy too, He knew that I have been wanting my page rank back and now it's here, I thank God so much.

Useful tool on the internet- Wikipedia

Decades ago, if we need to look for a meaning of a certain word, we usually use our pocket dictionary to determine the meaning. But with our technology nowadays, using a pocket dictionary is not needed anymore. Because of the computer generation, we are able to look for the meaning of a certain word or words online. As you will noticed Wikipedia is the most useful tool when looking for something on the internet. Wikipedia without useless interface elements could give you the best result on your research. Most people call it an online dictionary because it is more advanced, more accurate, detailed information, more reference and easy to use.

How do I control who can view my blog

Can I control the viewers of blog? The answer is yes but I guess everyone wants their blog to be viewed by anybody else. but just in case you want to control the viewers of your blog, here's what your going to do.

By default, your blog is completely public, and can be read by anyone on the internet. However, if you want to keep it private, you can do that, too. The setting for this is on the Settings | Permissions tab.

Under the Blog Readers heading, you'll probably see "Anybody" selected as the default. When you change this to "Only readers I choose," you'll get an Add Readers button.

Click the Add Readers button and then enter the email address of a person to whom you want to grant access to your blog. To add multiple people, separate their addresses with commas.

For each address entered, the Google Account associated with that address will be given access to view your blog. If an address is not associated with an account, that person will be sent an invitation email with a link allowing them do one of three things:

  • Sign in to an existing account.
  • Create a new account.
  • View your blog as a guest (no account required).

In the first two cases, the reader will be given permission to view your blog whenever they are logged in to their Google Account. As a guest, they'll be able to continue viewing your blog through the link in the invitation email, but this will expire after two weeks. After that, they'll need a new invitation.

If you want to revoke someone's access to your blog, simply click the remove link next to his or her name in the Blog Readers list. You can also toggle back to the "Anybody" option any time you decide to make the blog completely public again.

Note: If you publish your blog via FTP to your own server, the Blog Readers option will not be available. This is because Blogger has no control over who can access web pages on your server. However, you can contact your hosting provider to find out about any support they may offer for restricting access to your site.

In Celebration Of St. Patrick's Day

Today is St. Patrick's day. How are you going to celebrate it? To me, I have no idea yet because this is my first time to celebrate this event. We have no St. Patrick's day in the Philippines so this will be a whole new experience to me. They said during St. Patrick's day there are a number of places that will be bustling and overflowing with people. This event is celebrate in every State in United States. Just like in New York, there celebration is one of a kind. The New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade is world-famous and allegedly the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The tradition started in 1762 as a modest foot parade, and to this day does not include any commercial aspects like floats or cars. Approximately 150,000 to 250,000 people march before an estimated 2 million spectators.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade was originally downtown, centered around the Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 32 Prince Street. The initial participants were Irish immigrants and Irish military men in the British Army who were stationed in the American colonies. At the time, the British had placed restrictions on Irish customs (like dancing and language) within Ireland, and the Irish in New York reveled in being able to celebrate freely.
Today, the parade goes past Saint Patrick’s Cathedral at 50th Street and continues up to the American Irish Historical Society at 86th Street. It is still led by a unit of soldiers – currently the “Irish Infantry” – and is now officially sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

The best spots to view the parade are on the uptown end of the route. Try to find a spot high up on the Metropolitan Museum steps, or on the corner of 86th Street (where the parade turns). The starting and ending points of the parade are typically good for viewing. Pedestrians can only cross the parade route in groups at police-regulated points these areas get crowded, but once the masses move you can typically find a better viewing spot. The parade starts at 11am on 44th Street and finishes roughly 5pm at 86th Street. It will be broadcast on NBC for four hours.

World Wide Web turn 20

GENEVA (AFP) – The World Wide Web (WWW) on Friday marked its 20th anniversary and its founders admitted there were bits of the phenomenon they do not like: advertising and "snooping."

The creation of the web by British computer software genius Tim Berners-Lee and other scientists at the European particle physics laboratory (CERN) paved the way for the Internet explosion which has changed our daily lives.

Berners-Lee and former colleagues such as Robert Cailliau, who originally set up the system to allow thousands of scientists around the world to swap, view and comment on their research, regardless of the distance or computer system, took part in commemorations on Friday at the laboratory.

"Back then there were 26 web servers. Now there are 10 to the power 11 pages, that's a many as the neurones in your brain," said Berners-Lee, who still has an active hand in the web's development.

In March 1989, the young Berners-Lee handed his supervisor in Geneva a document entitled 'Information Management: a proposal."

The supervisor described its as "vague, but exciting" and gave it the go-ahead, although it took a good year or two to get off the ground and serve nuclear physicists in Europe initially.

Former CERN systems engineer Cailliau, who teamed up with Berners-Lee, said: "It was really in the air, something that had to happen sooner or later."

They drew up the global hypertext language -- which is behind the "http" on website addresses and the links between pages -- and came up with the first web browser in October 1990, which looks remarkably similar to the ones used today.

"Everything that people talk about today, blogs and so on, that's what we were doing in 1990, there's no difference. That's how we started," Cailliau told Swiss radio RSR.

The WWW technology was first made available for wider use on the Internet from 1991 after CERN was unable to ensure its development, and the organisation made a landmark decision two years later not to levy royalties.

"Without that, it would have died," commented Berners-Lee.

Cailliau still marvels at developments like wikipedia that allow knowledge to be exchanged openly around the web, but never imagined that search engines would take on the importance they have assumed today.

But the commercial development of the web irritates some of the founders, who prize its open and universal nature.

"There are some things I don't like at all, such as the fact that people have to live off advertising," said Caillau, who preferred the idea of direct "micro payments" to information providers.

"And there's the big problem of identity, of course, the trust between the person who is consulting and the person who provides the page, as well as the protection of children," he added.

Berners-Lee, now a researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States and a computer science professor at Southampton University in Britain, still heads the World Wide Web Consortium (3WC) that coordinates development of the web.

He expressed fears about the growing tendency to profile web users and detail their habits by collecting online data, often automatically.

"That sort of snooping is really important to avoid," he told the commemorative event here, heralding a future built on linked open data networks and mobile web use.

Lynn St. Amour, chief executive of the Internet Society, complained that the web is often wrongly confused with the wider Internet, a "network of networks."

"The Web is one -- albeit, the most influential and well known -- of many different applications which run over the Internet."

"The great achievement of Tim Berners-Lee was to recognise the power and potential in the Internet," she added.

UPDATED: Rourke in IRON MAN 2

It's official. Actor Mickey Rourke is confirmed to be appearing as the heavy in 'Iron Man 2'.

A breaking report from the Hollywood Reporter states that the actor, who is enjoying a career resurgence after his critcally-acclaimed leading role in 'The Wrestler', has signed on as "a russian villain."

Mania readers know well that Rourke was tipped for the part back in early January. Just weeks later rumors circulated later that negotiations between the actor and Marvel had gotten rocky, with the studio reportedly low-balling him on his paycheck. Since then the actor's status in the film has seemed doubtful.

Now, apparently all doubts have been erased and Rourke is on board. It still remains to be seen if Rourke is playing Iron Man's armored nemesis The Crimson Dynamo (as most fans are hoping) or the lesser villain Whiplash (as previously claimed the The Hollywood Reporter). Updated: Variety reports that the character will be a hybrid of the two but will be called Whiplash.

Marvel has been stung by several instance of being penny wise and pound-foolish about the sequel to the film that put them on the map as a stand-alone studio. Jon Favreau publicly insinuated that the studio was balking at signing him on the sequel. Then actor Terrence Howard parted with the franchise over money issues. Samuel L. Jackson came right out and said they were being cheap about bringing him back as Nick Fury. Then the Rourke rumors began.

Update: Variety confirms that salary was, indeed, the sticking point and Rourke's reps at ICM were able to get his paycheck above the reported quarter million that Marvel initially offered. Another factor appears to have been Rourke's frequent encounters with Robert Downey Jr. on the awards circuit earlier this year.

To their credit, Marvel has resolved all conflicts except for Howard's, bringing Favreau back into the fold last year, signing Jackson to an amazing 9-picture deal and now getting Rourke to suit up.

Tapout founder Charles 'Mask' Lewis dies in Ferrari crash

Charles Lewis Jr., a.k.a "Mask," founder of the Tapout brand of mixed martial arts apparel label, has died in a Newport Beach car accident, reports our L.A. Now compatriot Ari B. Bloomekatz.

Although Newport Police would not release the name of the car crash victim pending notification of next of kin, press representatives of the San Bernardino County-based company confirmed Lewis had passed away on Monday evening, with the following statement:

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we must regretfully confirm the passing of our beloved friend, brother and co-founder Charles 'Mask' Lewis following a car accident that occurred last night. We are currently in the process of setting up a memorial service in his honor and will release more details as they become available.

Many thanks to all for the outpouring of blessings and well-wishing during this incredibly difficult time.

charles lewis jr mask tapout charles lewis charles lewis junior charles lewis tapout I first met the San Bernardino native and his Tapout brethren -- who go by the names SkySkrape (real name unknown) and Punkass (a.k.a. Earl Caldwell) at an MMA expo in Long Beach last August as part of my Image section cover story about the boom in MMA apparel.

I spent several hours with him after that, each time walking away impressed how much he seemed to be genuinely grateful for each fan, clasping their hands in his, mugging for photos, hoisting toddlers on his broad shoulders for snapshots.

He seemed to be afraid of disappointing them. If initial reports are correct -- that he was racing his Ferrari against a Porsche before he died Wednesday about 1 a.m. -- his passing will have done just that, shuffling off this mortal coil as flamboyantly as he strode through it.

He was always quick with an analogy. I remember something he said when I asked about the future potential of MMA brands: “If this is the Yellow Brick Road and Oz is in the distance, we’re still trying to go up the path to find the Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Lion."

But even in my brief encounter with him, I could see something deeper and more meaningful behind the face paint and floppy camo hat. At one point before I left the Tapout compound in Grand Terrace last August, Lewis sat across from me in the conference room. After a question about the spiritual undertones of the sport -- the good vs. evil, the abundance of crosses and crusader imagery -- he leaned forward, flashed a wide Chesire Cat smile, and whispered almost conspiratorially. "We all want to feel like we're David taking on Goliath." For a brief instant, I had met the man behind the Mask.

It's a shame that so many MMA fans will mourn the passing of the outsized gentle giant with the drill-sergeant demeanor and and so few will have had the rare privilege to see the man beneath it.

Bill Buchanan on 24

If you are a big fan of the TV series 24 you know him. He is Bill Buchanan, one of the actors of 24 and died. Probably the show won't be the same again but the show must go on. Surely Jack Bauer will still make the show more interesting and more thrilling on each episode.

The Story:

As far as deaths on "24" go, Bill Buchanan's on Monday night was fairly quick and painless.

At least it was for actor James Morrison, who has played Jack Bauer's coolheaded boss for the past four years. But longtime fans of the Fox action drama, starring Kiefer Sutherland, still might have been a little shellshocked.

Buchanan goes out on his own terms -- he blows himself up alongside a group of terrorists who have overtaken the White House. The character's death ends a three-season run for the actor, who was supposed to be a one-appearance guest star who soon became the ongoing source of pushback for Jack.

"The moment you step aboard '24' you're taught to expect that you're going to bite it," Morrison, 54, said in an interview Friday. "In this solar system you have one sun. The rest of us are just planets that are invited to orbit, and sometimes we're just yanked out of the sky."

There have been plenty worse ways for good guys on the show to die: Lynn McGill died foaming at the mouth after inhaling nerve gas -- ditto for agent Edgar Stiles. Meanwhile, Michelle Dessler was rubbed out by a car bomb, Counter Terrorist Unit director Ryan Chappelle was unceremoniously executed by Jack himself, and President David Palmer was assassinated.

This season, "24" has spent much time confronting its own controversial theme: Jack's use of torture to extract information from terrorists. The season launched with CTU disbanded and Jack standing trial for his illegal methods. Buchanan had gone underground -- sporting the 5 o'clock shadow and dramatic all-black get-up to prove it -- working with computer whiz Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) to suss out a mole in the FBI.

In last week's episode, Buchanan clashed with Bauer over torturing a compromised government official. Buchanan refused to do it.

"It was nice that Bill [Buchanan] didn't have to become someone else," said Morrison, a certified yoga instructor. "It was more in character to have him say, ambiguously as he did, 'I can't do that. Not only am I not trained to do that, but I can't do that. That's not me.'"

For his final goodbye, cast and crew gathered with cake on the White House set.

"I spent a moment with them basking in their appreciation of what I felt like was sort of a family member leaving the fold," Morrison said. "It was the most familial set I'd been on."

Since he's been assured Bill's staying dead (onetime dead agent Tony Almeida was resurrected this season), Morrison plans to record some of his own music -- "blues, folk stuff," he says -- and finish work on "Showing Up," a documentary he's producing with his wife, Riad Galayini, about the audition process for actors.

He'll also appear in the final two episodes of ABC's "Private Practice." "I can only reveal that I play someone who comes in to shake things up at the clinic," he said.

"It was so great to do something where there's no angst, no intensity," he added. "Where you're just having a conversation with somebody and the safety of the world is not at stake."

Daylight Saving Time

Benjamin Franklin is credited with the concept of Daylight Saving Time. The basic idea is to make the best use of daylight hours by shifting the clock forward in the Spring and backward in the Fall. Daylight Saving Time has been in use throughout much of the United States, Canada and Europe since World War I. In 1966, President Lyndon Johnson signed an act into law whereby Daylight Saving Time begins on the last Sunday of April and ends on the last Sunday of October each year. However, any State can opt out of Daylight Saving Time by passing a State law.

Hawaii does not observe Daylight Saving Time and neither does Arizona (although the Navajo Nation, in northeastern Arizona, does). For many years, most of Indiana did not observe Daylight Saving Time with the exception of 10 counties. Beginning in 2006, all of Indiana now observes Daylight Saving Time. However, the state remains divided in two time zones. Seventy-four counties (including state capital Indianapolis) are in the Eastern Time Zone. The 18 remaining counties are in the Central Time Zone (see: Indiana Time Zones).

US Federal law was amended in 1986 to begin Daylight Saving Time on the first Sunday in April:

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of April
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on the last Sunday of October

In 2005, President Bush signed into law a new energy policy bill that would extend Daylight Saving Time by 4 weeks beginning in 2007:

Beginning in 2007:
Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday of March
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November

The corresponding time zones in Canada also switch to Daylight Saving Time on the same dates. However, some regions of in British Columbia and Saskatchewan do not use Daylight Saving Time. They include: Charlie Lake, Creston (East Kootenays), Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, and Taylor (all in British Columbia), and most of Saskatchewan (except Creighton and Denare Beach).

In Europe, Daylight Saving Time is referred to as Summer Time. Throughout most of western Europe (including members of the European Community (EC)):

Summer Time (Daylight Saving) Begins at 1 a.m. GMT on the last Sunday of March
Summer Time (Daylight Saving) Ends at 1 a.m. GMT on the last Sunday of October

The following table gives the dates and times when Daylight Saving Time is in effect in the United States and Europe from 2001 through 2015:

Andrew Jones Master of painting

Have you heard about Andrew Jones? If not, your missing something.

Andrew Jones is an artist in the West Village in New York City. He is a contemporary painter of original oil paintings of scenes of Greenwich Village and Chelsea.

His New York cityscapes depict brownstone stoops, brick facades, and elaborate ironwork of historic Federal and Greek revival townhouses. Architecture and architectural elements fill his streetscape artworks, and his highly original “stoopscapes” feature cast iron and wrought iron railings, often bathed in raking sunlight. Of significance are his innovative “stoop shadow” paintings, which portray the shadows of ironwork cascading down brownstone steps. These artworks merge a tradition of realism with the beauty of abstract form, resulting in art that is both Classical and modern.

Andrew’s artwork also includes representational American landscapes of oceans, beaches, and forests along the East Coast, including Cape Cod, the Hamptons and Fire Island. European cityscapes and landscapes offer views of the cities and countryside of France and Italy, with a particular focus on the ruins of the Forum in Rome, Venice’s canals and bridges, and streetscapes in Tuscany, including Florence and the Tuscan town of San Gemigniano. Other subject matter includes still life paintings depicting flower stands in Greenwich Village.
